Online Pricing Option
This page outlines an optional online pricing path for homeowners who prefer a straightforward, no-pressure experience and want to review pricing before speaking with anyone.
If you simply want a clear price to review on your own, this option allows you to do exactly that.
By completing the form below, you can receive a no-obligation invoice by email. There are no sales calls and no sales pitch. If the invoice works for you, you may complete payment online and we will custom-build your system and schedule installation once it is ready.
If you decide not to move forward, you can simply disregard the invoice — no follow-up required.
Because this option relies on information provided online rather than an in-home visit, it’s important to review the details below so expectations are clear.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
(Applies to prepaid online orders only)
- If you receive an invoice but do not submit payment, no commitment has been made and no cancellation is necessary.
- If a customer voluntarily chooses to cancel an order after completing their purchase, an $89 cancellation fee will apply. The remaining purchase amount will be refunded to the customer. If Flat Rate Water Softeners determines after purchase that the selected equipment cannot be properly or safely installed, a full refund of the entire purchase price will be issued, with no cancellation fee.
What Is Included in Online Pricing
Online pricing includes a standard installation, defined as follows:
- Wall access Online pricing does not include cutting or repairing drywall. Homes requiring wall access for new plumbing runs are better suited for an in-home consultation.
- Concrete surfaces Online pricing does not include drilling through concrete surfaces for plumbing runs. Anchoring equipment to concrete when required is included.
- Plumbing distance Installation includes up to 30 linear feet of new piping (measured up, down, over, across, and through). If additional distance is required, this can be noted on the form and reflected in your invoice. Note: The softener must be tied into the main water line before it branches to ensure whole-home soft water.
- Electrical A standard electrical outlet must be available within 14 linear feet of the installation location. Extension cords may be used but must be provided by the homeowner.
- Drain access Adequate drainage (typically a floor drain) must be available near the installation location. Shared drains with laundry equipment are often acceptable if capacity allows. Drainage must be able to handle approximately 5 gallons per minute.
- Plumbing materials All new installation plumbing will be completed using PEX. Existing copper piping will be transitioned as needed.
- Location & access Installation areas must be reasonably accessible. Any unusual access conditions (crawlspaces, upper floors without elevators, tenant coordination, restricted access) should be disclosed prior to purchase.
- Pets For everyone’s safety, pets must be secured away from the installation area during service.
- Water pressure The home’s pressure reducing valve (PRV) must be functional and regulate incoming pressure to 80 PSI or less. If this condition is not met, installation may be delayed until resolved.
- Unforeseen conditions Every home is different. Occasionally, unforeseen conditions are discovered during installation that require additional components. When this occurs, we will discuss the issue and pricing before proceeding. Labor related to these adjustments is included; additional materials are billed as needed.
Full-Service Installation Option
Our full-service quotes and installations do not have these limitations.
When we visit your home, we can evaluate layout, access, plumbing, and other variables in advance — allowing us to provide a complete, all-inclusive quote with no exclusions.
If that approach feels like a better fit, we’re happy to help.
