Enough good things can be said about Matt and Flat Rate Water Softeners. This is my 2nd home he’s done a system in. Water softener, whole home carbon filter, and an in-line filter on the kitchen sink. The exact same system as the big guys without the big guy cost. He’ll test your water, make sure you get exactly what you need and nothing you don’t, he’ll offer you extras without being pushy and give honest suggestions to your questions. 5+ stars.

Matt (with Flat Rate Softeners LLC) was quick to respond after my call. He squeezed in the installation of a 32,000 grain two piece softener system the day after I called him. The job was not an easy one because the our utility closet is so small. He improvised and built up the flooring with some boards to make a level surface. The softener regeneration drainage tube was secured into our floor drain. Matt is obviously well trained and personable. His price for the job was $600 lower than two other bids I received for the same work. I highly recommend him for any water softener install work…

We hired Matt at Flat Rate Water Softeners to replace our water softener, and from start to finish, he exceeded expectations. I had an old water softener that went bad and needed to be replaced. I shopped it out a bit and found I could spend around a thousand to do it myself for the size I needed or 2700 and wait a couple weeks from a few different plumbers. Flat rate softeners were not only knowledgeable and honest, they were fast and substantially cheaper than the other professionals. He came out fast, answered all our questions, looked at the situation we had and recommended options for us that would meet our needs. I was looking around at all the options and having way too much soft water anxiety for weeks trying to come up with the perfect solution to handle our ridiculously hard water. I shopped around and I found this company and they had the softener features that I wanted at a very good price. I had their premium softener and a whole house water filtration installed. He had the equipment ordered and installed in less than a week. Matt installed both of them and optimized my space they would occupy for easy access in about 2 hours. Very neatly done. I have my soft water back and would recommend this company. The prices are great as well, I bought both the softener and whole house filter for less than one company wanted for just the softener.

It's refreshing to do business with someone who does what they say they are going to do and then goes above and beyond to make sure your satisfied. Matt fixed my water softener when everyone else said they wouldn't waste their time, they just wanted to just sell me a new one. I was told by a couple of larger plumbing companies that it would cost almost as much to fix it. Matt was the only one that shot straight with me. He saved me almost 1,000 dollars! I checked with several companies. Flat Rate Water Softeners was the only company that was straight forward, honest, and upfront with all of the information I was asking for. By far the most reasonably priced! The work done was professional and very considerate. Lines run cleanly and out of the way. Service was extremely quick. I was expecting an appointment at least a week out. Instead of having to wait, I was put in just a day later. I was given fair quotes on fixing the existing water softener vs. replacing it. The replacement was an excellent price. He was on time for when he said he would arrive and done in less than an hour. Whole processes from the beginning to the end was very quick, efficient and stress free. Receiving the bid, reviewing the area to install the water softener, and the actual installation went very smoothly. Love our new water softener and how it's better on our skin and appliances. Our stainless steel no longer has daily water spots showing up with the new water softener. Matt was very helpful answering all the questions we had on using the unit and how the unit works.

Loved the experience of buying a water softener through this company. If you have seen Parks and Rec, it was just like doing business with Ron Swanson, and that is a high compliment. :) I never felt like they were trying to upsell me or push anything on me. It was basically “You want a water softener? I have some great ones that I would suggest for you. Would you like to do business?” Haha.
